A Bulgarian farmer has swapped his wife for a goat, because she couldn’t give him kids.
Stoil Panayotov exchanged his third wife with Elena the eight-year-old goat at a livestock market, reports the Daily Telegraph. The extraordinary deal was concluded in front of a stunned crowd in the market town of Plovdiv, central Bulgaria.
“The day before a friend told me that he has had no luck with women and that he really liked my wife,” says the 54-year-old. “The deal was reached when my wife gave her approval. The goat has given birth to three kids and my wife to none. So this deal was more profitable to the goat owner, I got a second-hand goat and he got a brand new wife.”

A German farmer who married a woman he met on the internet has asked for the marriage to be annulled after finding out ‘she’ was a he.
Wolfgang Zober, 55, from Naumburg, said: “I don’t meet many women as I am often out in the fields working all day, and so a friend suggested I try internet dating. “I was delighted when I contacted Randy Victoria, 38, and was delighted when I met her and realised she was as lovely as her photographs. “She even knew loads about farming – I didn’t realise that was because she used to be a farmer herself.
“We only had a kiss and cuddle before we married. But on my wedding night she told me she had a penis – and that her real name was Ralf. I was devastated. “The only true thing she did say was that she had two children, but she was the father – not the mother.”
Nearly half of Japanese bathe with cellphones March 25, 2008Posted by grhomeboy in Lifestyle, Mobile Telecoms.

Hi-tech mobile phones and leisurely baths are well-known passions of the Japanese, and apparently they’re not mutually exclusive. A survey released Monday showed that 41.2 percent of people in the country have at least once taken their mobile phones to the bathtub to make calls, type e-mails, listen to music or play games.
The practice extends across all sexes and ages, although teenagers were the most likely to have bathed with their phones, according to the poll of 16,250 people carried out by video-game maker Sega.
The most common reason for taking the phone to the tub was to type e-mails, followed closely by listening to music. The survey will come as no surprise to Japanese mobile phone makers, some of which advertise that their handsets are safe for the bath.
Japan has one of the world’s most advanced mobile networks, with nearly 85 percent of users carrying third-generation phones that allow Internet access and other interactive features. Soaking in the bathtub is a nightly custom for many in Japan, where trips to hot-spring resorts are a popular pastime.
Desparate man auctions his life on eBay March 25, 2008Posted by grhomeboy in Lifestyle, Odd World.

A Briton who emigrated to Australia is so fed up after a failed marriage that he has put his entire life up for sale on eBay.
Ian Usher, 44, is selling his three-bedroom home, car, and job and all of his possessions. Bids will start at just one Australian dollar, but Mr Usher is hoping to pocket £230,000 after the seven day auction in June.
Mr Usher, who emigrated from Scarborough six years ago and became an Australian citizen in 2006, split from his wife Laura last year after five years of marriage. He said: “My life here is absolutely fantastic, but I just want to make a clean break and start again literally, so I am selling everything lock, stock and barrel, from the contents of my wardrobe to my kettle, and from my cutlery to my car.”
“My aim is to walk away at the end of the eBay auction with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, go to the airport and just jump on the first available plane to anywhere. My tale is a bit of a sad one, but I am not trying to sell anyone a sob story. I appreciate that many people have had to cope with much more than I have and have had much more sadness in their lives. This is just my way of dealing with what has happened to me.”
Mr Usher, whose open-plan house is a 30-minute train ride from Perth city centre, is also selling off his 140mph Kawasaki motorcycle, jet ski, surf boards, sky-diving kit, spa and 6ft television screen.
The successful bidder will also be given access to Mr Usher’s friends and a two week trial for his job at a Perth rug store with a view to a permanent job.
