Men ‘ignorant sex disease risk’ October 22, 2006

Three in four men have never been tested for sexually transmitted infections and know little of such common conditions as chlamydia, a survey shows.

Men are more likely than women to have the infection but 47 per cent have no idea of its symptoms, even though 80 per cent of women know it can make them infertile.

Chlamydia is the most common sexual infection in Britain and affects one in ten women, warned the study for Boots.
