Did you know?

The word “phone” comes from the Greek word “phoni” for voice or sound.

The word “cell” comes from the Latin word “cella,” which means “chamber.”

Combining the etymology for these two words, one might conclude that “cell phone” might mean “speaking in a chamber.”
