Tea Time January 19, 2007

There is a ritual hidden in every cup of tea, according to the philosophy of the country where tea originated, China.

In 2737 BC, while the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was boiling water under a shrub, a few leaves fell into his cup. Delighted by the flavour and the aroma of the drink, the emperor decided to spread its use.

At the Brasserie, my favorite tea-spot, the ritual of meeting for a cup of tea on a winter’s day becomes even more enjoyable in a lovely setting.

A hot cup of tea offers much more than a variety of flavours and aromas, further stimulating your senses with a sensational view to the surrounding greenery, as your thoughts turn to the endless, blue sea.
