Smirnoff unveils a new drinking experience with the introduction of the Smirnoff Cocktails collection, superpremium cocktails that take the guesswork out of mixing drinks. Available in two of today’s most popular cocktails, Grand Cosmopolitan and Vodka Mojito,  the Smirnoff Cocktails Collection will add style to even the simplest of soirees.

Smirnoff Cocktails are expertly crafted using Smirnoff Vodka No. 21, the world’s no1 premium vodka. Smirnoff Grand Cosmopolitan blends in Grand Marnier liqueur, fine cranberry juice and a splash of lime to create a refreshingly elegant flavor with a smooth finish. The Smirnoff Vodka Mojito is a new interpretation of the classic Cuban Mojito, made with Smirnoff No. 21 vodka, lime and mint flavors, and other quality ingredients.

“Smirnoff has combined the finest of ingredients in its new cocktails collection,” says Kate Price, Marketing Director, Smirnoff. “The combination of Smirnoff Vodka with other premium spirits like Grand Marnier liqueur, creates the complete cocktail experience without leaving home. It’s like having a master mixologist in a bottle.”

The Smirnoff Grand Cosmopolitan is currently available in liquor retail outlets. Smirnoff Vodka Mojito is currently available in the Northeast and will be available nationally later this fall. Both products will be available in 750mL and 1.75L bottles, retailing for approximately $12.99 and $19.99 respectively (suggested retail price).

As two of the most popular cocktails, the Cosmopolitan and the classic Mojito are also among the most difficult drinks to make. As a staple for simple and sophisticated entertaining, Smirnoff’s top-shelf cocktails bring simplicity to otherwise complex concoctions. Offering hosts more time with their guests, Smirnoff Cocktails will add flair to home gatherings without sacrificing flavor or style. Just twist the cap, pour into a glass and enjoy.

When enjoying this new product, and all its products, Diageo reminds its adult consumers to drink responsibly. As the world’s largest spirits, wine and beer company, Diageo is committed to social responsibility and the responsible marketing of its brands. The Diageo Marketing Code is one of the most stringent in the industry. Other new laws taking effect next month include increased fees on bottles and cans for recycling, and new efforts to prevent spread of infections in hospitals.

Bans on junk food and soda in schools and a recycling program for plastic bags are among the new laws that take effect in California on July 1. While most California bills usually become law on Jan. 1, a handful are delayed to give the public more time to prepare. Other new laws taking effect next month include increased fees on bottles and cans for recycling, and new efforts to prevent spread of infections in hospitals.

Because of the extra time, some agencies and companies have acted ahead of the new laws’ start date, many school districts have already improved their menus and banned soda on campus, while supermarkets have already begun recycling plastic bags.

Senate Bills 12 and 965, authored by former Sen. Martha Escutia, D-Los Angeles, and signed into law in 2005, set new limits on sugar and fat content in meals served in public schools, including a ban on soda.
