Andrea Bocelli to perform in Slovakia for the first time March 10, 2008

Following a sold-out tour of the USA, the world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform for the first time in Slovakia, it was reported on Tuesday.

Before his scheduled tour of Australia, Bocelli’s only scheduled concert in Europe will be May 7, 2008 in Steel Arena in Kosice.

Bocelli, 49, has sold more than 55 million records. Con Te Partiro remained at the top of the charts around the world for more than half a year and has become the best-selling single record in the history of the recording industry.

Bocelli has recorded duets with stars such as Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Sarah Brightman, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bryan Adams, Eros Ramazzotti, Christina Aquilera, and Celine Dion. He sang for John Paul II, Bill Clinton, George Bush and Queen Elizabeth II.
