Social Bookmarking > what is it?
Social bookmarking is a way to save the web pages that you stumble across to one central location on the Internet. The sites allow you to access your bookmarks from any computer, share stories with your friends and find useful pages that you almost forgot about.
First Things First >
- You will need to be a member of a social site.
- There are many different options, but each one has the common function of saving your bookmarks.
- You might find you like the look of one, that another is easier to use and yet another might offer more features for the adventurous user.
- Try a couple and see what works best for you.
Here are some popular sharing sites >
Now that you are a member of a bookmarking site, you’ll want to start adding links.
You can start by locating your site in our sharing toolbar, and clicking on the icon. If you are not logged into your social sharing account, you will be asked to enter your sign-in information.
Every site will have a different set of instructions on how to add your bookmark, but they all want to accomplish the same task — add a link to the site, with a title and description of what the link is about. The more information you fill in, the better you will be able to find it in the future.
How do I see me saved sites?
Once you are a member of a social bookmarking site, you will see that your links are all listed there for you to access from any computer.
If you are still unclear about how to use our Social Sharing toolbar, please send us your questions or feedback.
